About Impact Academy
Our History
While we've been serving the needs of the greater Canton area since 2005, we've had students placed in our program from all over Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Wayne, and even Cuyahoga Counties for over 20 years of sustained excellence!
Our administrators and staff have previously served at various Ohio special education & mental health agencies for years, bringing together a treasure trove of professional education & experience, as well as unique stories about students suffering from mild-to-severe behavioral & emotional difficulties that blocked their paths to academic success.
Our Secret Recipe
We have incorporated winning philosophies of education, mental health, and behavior management together to form a place where students can not only overcome their academic struggles, but also transform into healthy, productive contributors -- in school, at home, and in their communities-at-large. For us, our ultimate goal is more than academic improvement; it's lasting life change achieved through an eclectic approach of cognitive-behavioral therapy-based interventions, behavior modification techniques, and a "secret sauce" of "old school" relationship-building mixed with structured discipline.

Our Staff
In order for our philosophy to be effectively integrated into the powerful services we provide, it takes staff dedication and commitment. Being a private business, we are afforded the flexibility and resources to retain top-notch staff members who enjoy their job and attend at a 95-98% attendance rate. We call for excellence at every position, and having staff who have been serving at Impact at an agency-wide average of 5 years, their experience makes excellence an expected result everyday!
